Care of Your Bison Wood Tiles
Natural Aging:
Bison Wood Tiles are an untreated, low-maintenance, natural product. Wood tiles have variations in color and grain.
Left to weather naturally and, depending on climatic conditions, wood tiles will develop an aged patina and faded
coloring. All wood is subject to weathering and erosion from sun, wind, debris, and precipitation. Ends of wood tiles are
sealed with wax at the factory to prevent splitting. Additional cuts made in the field should be sealed. Wax on ends can
bleed into wood and be visible but should become less noticeable over time.
Cleaning, Sealing, Staining:
If desired, Bison Wood Tiles can be periodically cleaned, stained and sealed. Before applying any finish, first clean and
remove any residue or excess wax from the wood tile. The following manufacturers offer products specifically designed
for use with tropical hardwoods: Cabots, Penofin, Messmers.
*Wood is a natural product and Wood Tile colors and grain may differ from the samples displayed. Dimensions and weights are nominal.
